Fluorescence-based Total Protein Determination using the Compound CBQCA

چکیده

Total protein content is a measurement common to many applications in basic science and clinical research. Several different fluorescent techniques are available that eliminate many of the problems associated with the traditional colorimetric absorbance-based methods to measure total protein content. Here we describe the use of 3-(4-carboxybenzoyl)quinoline-2carboxaldehyde (CBQCA) to quantitate total protein using the BioTek FL600 fluorescence microplate reader.

Fluorescence Chemosensing of Mg2+ by Phenylhydrazone of a Difluorenylpiperidin-4-one

Magnesium is an abundant element in the environment. Magnesium ion sensing by fluorescence spectral method is of importance due to the need for the detection of the metal in the human body and the environment. In this paper, we report the Mg2+ ion sensing behavior of the phenylhydrazone derivative of a difluorenylpiperidin-4-one. The preparation method of this compound is simple. The compound s...

Probing of the Interaction Between Human Serum Albumin and A New Synthesized Pd(II) Complex Using Spectroscopic Methods

Human serum albumin (HSA) is an abundant, multifunctional and nonglycosylated negatively charged plasma protein. HSA ascribed ligand-binding and transport properties, antioxidant functions and enzymatic activities. In the present study, the interaction and side effects of a new designed anti-cancer compound (1,10-phenanthroline butyl dithiocarbamato palladium(II) nitrate) on HSA have been inves...

Transient expression of green fluorescent protein in radish (Raphanus sativus) using a turnip mosaic virus based vector

It is possible to use transgenic plants, as bioreactors, for the production of recombinant inexpensive chemicals and drug components. Transient gene expression is an appropriate alternative to stable transformation because it allows an inexpensive and rapid method for expression of recombinant proteins in plant tissues. In recent years, plant viral vectors have been increasingly developed as su...
